2026 Parade Mayor

Maryellen is a proud Worcester native and has dedicated her life to giving back to the community she loves so deeply. 

She served with compassion at the Mercy Centre for 23 years and went on to finish her teaching career with Worcester Public Schools, touching countless lives along the way.

Family is at the heart of everything Maryellen does. She is the proud mother of two wonderful sons, Patrick and Kevin; a loving mother-in-law to Stacy, and a devoted grandmother to four amazing grandchildren—Lily, Kennedy, Owen, and Xavier—who are her greatest joy.

Maryellen’s parade spirit runs deep. She proudly marched in the very first St. Patrick’s Parade on Main Street and has never stopped celebrating her Irish roots. A true people-person, she is a wonderful friend to all she meets and is known for her love of fun, laughter, and good company. 

She was supported by the people of Fiddlers’ Green and is a proud member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 36, continuing a long tradition of Irish pride and service.
