Anne Marie MacNamara is proud of her Irish heritage. Being a member of the Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade Committee is one way she finds joy in celebrating her culture.
Anne Marie has supported the parade for many years. It started with her family on the sidelines of Park Ave, enjoying the excitement of the parade passing by. Then she spent several years as a parent marching with St. Peter Central Catholic Elementary School and the McInerney School of Irish Step Dance floats. The highlight of marching was passing by the people on the street enjoying the music and the dancers, as well as seeing so many people appreciating Irish culture and the parade.
Since her children have become young adults, Anne Marie has been able to support our parade at the next level. She joined our committee by volunteering her time, attending all functions, fundraisers, and community activities. She is always open and welcoming to new members and works well with other committee members.
Anne Marie enjoys Irish music and attending the Irish Seisiuns at Fiddler’s. She is also an avid golfer, and in the summer, enjoys her free time at the lake with her family.
Anne Marie lives in Worcester with her husband and 2 children; She is a parishioner at St. John’s Parish and is also an involved member of the LAOH.
