Mayor of the Parade
Seeking candidates to run for MAYOR of the Worcester County St. Patrick's Parade!
The winning candidate will:
- Receive a whistle to launch the parade, and a personalized sash labelled 'Mayor of the Parade'
- Attend the Grand Marshal Banquet in January
- March behind your own banner in the Parade
What's Involved
Candidates raise funds for the parade. Every dollar raised counts as one vote. Past Mayors have organized various activities for people to attend and vote, such as parties, music events and pub crawls. You design your own fundraising activities, and anyone can sponsor an individual.
Fundraise any time throughout the autumn; votes are counted in mid- December, typically at the 'home base' of the previous year's winner.
You must formally register with the Parade Committee.
